Who we are

Hook & Make is a product and engineering studio. We are the controller of the personal information you send through this website. You can reach us about anything in this policy athookandmake@gmail.com.

Information we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the project form: your name, email address, and project description, plus any optional company, service, industry, budget, or timing details you add. The form also generates a random reference number so a retried submission is not counted twice. If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you send in that conversation.

We do not ask for payment details, government identifiers, or sensitive personal information. Please do not include them in your brief.

How we use it

• To read and reply to your inquiry.
• To scope, quote, and, if you hire us, deliver the work.
• To keep a record of our conversations and agreements.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to anything.

Who receives it

When you submit the form, your brief is emailed to our inbox. It is delivered through Resend, an email delivery provider that processes the message on our behalf, and received in a Gmail mailbox operated byHook & Make. If you use the WhatsApp link, your conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms. Our website host also processes standard server logs, such as IP address and request time, to deliver and secure the site. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising trackers or analytics tools. It does not store your message in your browser. “Download your brief” saves a text file to your own device only.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and to run any project that follows. If no work results, we delete the inquiry within 12 months. Records tied to an engagement are kept for as long as that engagement and any legal or accounting obligations require.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Emailhookandmake@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, submissions are validated and rate-limited, and delivery credentials are kept on the server, not in the browser. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending confidential material through the form.

Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its “last updated” date.
